MEGA MANAGED DESKTOP (MMD)

gave our presentation on Mega Managed Desktop.

In a nutshell, Mega Managed Desktop or MMD (how we lovingly call it) is a SERVICE we provide. In this service we will do the following tasks:
- We provide FREE of CHARGE one MMS Server (Primary Domain Controller class)
- We join other PCs to the Server.
- We conduct audit on all the PCs and provide a report to the management.

What do we aim to achieve with this service?

- Before implementation, all the PCs would have been in ADMINISTRATOR mode, meaning the user may install and uninstall programs and change essential settings on the PC without any form of restriction.

- After implementation, the user MUST input the correct password to enter the Windows.

- The PC is set to USER mode, where they are unable to install and uninstall or even change the essential settings on the PC, unless the administrator (the management or us) allows it.

BENEFITS:

NO MORE installation of unlicensed software without the managements knowledge. This can save the company from a lot of hassle with the law, prevent fines and lots of regrets. BSA fines can reach up to RM 150,000.

NO MORE unwanted spyware, adware or worms from the internet. This reduces the frequency of PC breakdowns and it saves the company a bundle!

MORE control as the permission of the administrator MUST be sought in order to make major

changes to the PC.
