Using FRING to voice chat over the internet

Submitted by farihin on Thu, 08/07/2010 - 17:27

I used this application for my Nokia E72, and its really great. But most of all, its great coz its FREE!

FRING is better than Skype coz its a light weight app for Nokia. It doesn't jam the phone up. And it offers skype type of voice calls, called VOIP. Its clear even on EDGE conections and gets betted over 3G connections. It merges all your Yahoo, MSN, Gtalk and Skype contact list. So if you have the same contacts in MSN and Yahoo, FRING merges them into one contact that can use either MSN or Yahoo to make voice calls or chat. That way it becomes less confusing.

Best of all is that you can make video calls to contacts on skype using skype protocols. I say its very good because you can save a lot on calls to friends that have nokia handphones or any phone that supports FRING.

Please contact me if you need help installing or setting up FRING, maybe we can meet up.

Network Cabling in Desa Melawati, KL

Submitted by farihin on Tue, 16/06/2009 - 16:24

Yes, we do network cabling jobs ourselves. But when the going gets tough, then we'll call in our contractors to do the job. Today we visited our customer who had a networking issue, namely no connection. Since it was a new PC, it has not been connected to the router yet, and required termination (meaning to install a network head to a bare cable).

Pic 1: Once we've bared the cable, we'll 6 small coloured wires. Arrange them according to this: White-Orange, Orange, White-Green, Blue, White-Blue, Green, White-Brown, Brown.
